Wedding Rehearsal... What not to forget

Yes! It is important that the officiant be there if you have a large wedding party, kids who may not know what to expect, a location that may pose some logistical questions, and more. Essentially if you have a rehearsal, the officiant should be there.

If it is a small ceremony with only the bride and groom and a witness or two, the couple can decide if a rehearsal makes sense for them.

Be sure to to discuss some things such as:

*Is there specific seating with bride and groom sections, or an open plan?

*Will the groomsmen be standing with the groom or walking with the bridesmaids?

*Are there others walking down the aisle, such as a husband walking his mother down the aisle or father walking his daughter?

*What processional order do you want to walk in?

*Who will have the rings? Sometimes the ring bearer may be too little to hold them, or there is no ring bearer.

*What attire should the officiant be wearing?

*What music will be played at the entrance?

*If there are unity items for the ceremony, such as a candle, where will it be set up?
